ARE YOU DOWNE???
So many of you baby-boomers think everything on the internet is negative and doesnt give youth ways to express themselves in positive ways. Of course, there are alot of negative things going on in the internet but theres alot of negativity and ignorance spread throughout politics, television (NEWS included), and the very streets we live on. Everything good has a bad side because theres always that ROTTEN APPLE in the bunch. Sometimes maybe more than just ONE. But amongst the negativity we have those individuals pushing for change and positivity hoping to bring something special and enlightening to the internet community. One site I speak of is, DOWNELINK. Yes DOWNE. LINK. The ever-so-fab unofficial gay brother site to MYSPACE. More closer than you think. Because alot of "STRAIGHT" people go peeping around the corners of this site. I digress. Amongst the DRAMA, like every community site has, DL (short fot Downelink) has one page in particular that contributes to the change I have spoken about. DL POETRY SLAM. Many poets, musicians, and art-friendly individuals support and enter this contest. No this isnt Battle of the Cutest Girl, Boy, or Those IN Between. But its a Battle of the Minds. And if you ARE Open MINDED in fact, I encourage you to check it out. ...But that would mean YOUD have to start up an account. And im sure you are just not DOWNE enough. So I will post somethings for you guys. ENJOY.
